Hi! So glad you’re here :)

I’m Nupur, a photographer, French teacher and latin dance enthusiast based in Pune, India. 

 

Starting with my father’s point and shoot camera at the age of 12, I’ve been seeing the world around me through a lens. This passion for photography has been a constant companion throughout my career in psychology and teaching French across India and Europe.  Having studied psychology in undergrad, I learnt to be deeply perceptive of human emotions and as a polyglot, I’ve always been curious about different cultures. Both these qualities help me express myself artistically as I attempt to capture the beauty and nuance in the everyday and the mundane.

Through photography, I was able to make sense of my body and mind that didn’t always fit into traditional moulds. I learned to be unhindered and express myself freely. I’ve also since realised the profound influence photography can have on people, through their journey of unlearning toxic standards and accepting their authentic self. As I evolve as a photographer, I hope to learn and document the myriad ways to be a human being.
